What’s next for you? This great job.  We’re seeking an Accountant to work at one of our largest key accounts in the automotive industry in Torrance, CA. Sounds interesting? Contract duration = 6 months with possibility of extension

Onsite for first 3 months of training , will switch to hybrid work model, 2 days working from home
Shift: Monday-Friday  8:30am-5pm
Pay: $25/hr

What will you be doing as an Accountant?

• Support the ongoing Accounting Operations of the Credit Union.
• Responsible for processing and documenting daily member transaction for a variety of interfaces, reconciling activity and identifying the source of any variances.
• Support Accounting team and activity with the Federal Reserve Bank and other Financial Institutions.
• Work closely with the Analyst Team and Senior Accountants to support, provide back-up and cross-train on critical responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage share draft/check clearing
• Support Lockbox transaction processing
• Monitor and process Corp Credit Union deposits
• Execute Corp Credit Union research and related adjustments
• Support both Domestic and International wire transaction
• Support shared branching reconciliations

Daily Tasks:

• Execute transactional processing as required
• Conduct routine reconciliations to support NCUA and Opinion Audits
• Identify variances, research causes and adjust entries as needed
• Provide assistance to accounting team on various projects and reconcilements

Top 3 Required Skills:

1. Degree – BA w/3-5 years’ experience in Financial Services or related Industry

2. Technical and analytical skills appropriate for operating under Generally Accepted Accounting Principals

3. Strong Excel skills – V-Lookup and Pivot tables

Desired Skills:

• Strong financial Acumen
• Developed interpersonal and communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Degree in Business or Accounting
• 3 to 5 years working in the financial or Credit Union Industry
• Technical and Analytical skills appropriate for operating under generally accepting accounting principals 

Other Job-Specific skills:

• Self starter, able to work autonomously
• Skilled in verbal and written communication
• MS Skills (Word/Excel)
