About this Role The Aerial Lineman is accountable for performing skilled tasks in accordance with standard trade practices in the construction, maintenance, and operation of underground and overhead telecommunications plant in an outside environment. Using various construction equipment, Aspen Aerial Linemen install, operate, maintain, inspect and repair CATV lines to include Strand, Fiber and Coax. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: What You'll Do Key Responsibilities: Install, operate, maintain and repair overhead telecommunications plant Read and interpret engineering plans Access various installation and construction points as required locate/troubleshoot telecommunication cables and wires Utilize standard communication tools Operate and perform maintenance on construction vehicles and equipment to include but not limited to; hydraulic aerial lifts and truck mounted ladders Perform maintenance on telecommunication equipment Respond to emergency calls Maintain line vehicles and equipment Keep daily records of detailed work activity Perform other duties as assigned What You'll Bring Requirements: 2+ years of Aerial Lineman, telecommunication experience preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas Valid driver license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card Must be able to follow and adhere to all permit and DOT requirements Qualifications: Knowledge of materials and tools used in line construction and maintenance work Understanding of separation and clearance regulations Proficient in new build, coax & fiber installation and pole transfers Dependable and Trustworthy Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to safely and efficiently perform the following: o Operate construction equipment and machinery o Work nights and weekends, if necessary Carry 75-80 lbs., to include an extension ladder o Work at heights of 20+' feet Bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout work shift o Work under any type of weather conditions o Work independently or as part of a team and relate well to co-workers What You'll Get Health Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision Plans, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Accident Flexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings Accounts PWR Discounts (Flight Tickets, Amusement Park Tickets, Nike) Group Discount (Pet Insurance, Auto Insurance, Home Insurance) Retirement Savings Plan (401K) with company matching Short & Long Term Disability Option Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance Paid Holidays and Vacation Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
