Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly-skilled AI Curriculum and Chatbot Development Specialist with expertise in Machine Learning, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, with strong programming skills to develop innovative AI-focussed curriculum for various age-groups and skill levels (from middle school through college-age) and design chatbots to support the learning of this curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Curriculum Development:**
- Collaborate with SureStart’s instructional designers to design, develop, and update AI-related course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with various education standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI.
- Collaborate with external partners from education or industry to build customized curriculum to support their goals.
- Develop interactive and engaging learning materials, which could include videos, simulations, and hands-on exercises.
- Continuously stay current with advancements in AI and real-world applications and case studies, and incorporate the new knowledge into course content.2. **AI Chatbot Development:**
- Design and develop AI chatbots with a Socratic approach to instruction to support students in learning the curriculum asynchronously.
- Utilize natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques to create context-aware, personalized and adaptable chatbots.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, define use cases, and develop chatbot functionalities.
- Perform testing, debugging, and optimization of chatbot performance to ensure high-quality user experiences.
- Stay updated with the latest chatbot development tools, frameworks, and best practices.
3. **Training and Support:**
- Provide training and support to educators, mentors, and students related to the developed AI curriculum and chatbots.
- Conduct workshops, webinars, and training sessions to enhance understanding and utilization of AI technologies.
- Create comprehensive documentation (and/or teacher guides) for curriculum and chatbot usage.
4. **Collaboration and Leadership:**
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, instructional designers, educators, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide interns or junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing AI curriculum and educational materials.
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI chatbots using NLP and machine learning techniques.
- Strong knowledge of AI technologies, frameworks, and programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and chatbot development platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Experience with instructional design and educational technologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects effectively.
