About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Property Manager (Field-Based) to join our growing team at Defined Property Management LLC. This role is ideal for someone passionate about resident satisfaction, building upkeep, and relationship management. The Assistant PM will primarily be in the field, conducting site visits to ensure our properties meet high standards and residents receive exceptional service. They will work closely with the Senior Property Manager to enhance tenant relations, resolve issues, and maintain the integrity of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site visits to assess property conditions, ensure maintenance is up to standard, and identify areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residents to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
• Act as the eyes and ears on the ground , reporting any operational concerns or resident feedback to the Senior Property Manager .
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and property upkeep.
• Assist in enforcing lease agreements, addressing resident concerns, and supporting leasing efforts when needed.
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Work alongside the Senior Property Manager to improve processes, optimize building operations, and contribute to a best-in-class resident experience .
• Support property events and initiatives aimed at fostering community engagement .

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in property management, leasing, or a similar field-based role .
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills —must be a people person who enjoys working with tenants.
• Ability to work independently in the field and proactively identify property needs.
• Knowledge of multifamily property operations , lease agreements, and general building maintenance.
• Proficiency in property management software (experience with AppFolio is a plus).
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
