Candidate: must be able to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays and must have an exceptional eye for detail. You must know how to properly clean a vehicle both interior and exterior, training on moving equipment around the lot will be provided for the safe operation of the bus on the property of Capitol Bus Lines, Inc. Drive a bus on the lot of Capitol Bus Lines Inc. safely. Back up a bus on to the wash pad safely and to the proper position to dump the toilet. Check fluid levels in bus and add fluid if needed to proper fill level (oil, water, power steering, transmission). Check with the Dispatcher/Operations Manager for your bus-washing schedule daily, as it may change. Follow any additional instructions on your schedule (i.e. making sure a cooler gets put on a bus, etc.). Ensure interior and exterior lights work, headrest, footrest, armrest and seat recliners work. Learn the buses by number and what special things may be on a bus or are needed for a bus. Wash the exterior of the bus to include tires and rims. Clean out, sweep and mop the luggage bins. Dump and clean the toilet in a bus and refill with appropriate chemicals. Clean the interior of a bus by sweeping the floor, mopping the floor, cleaning off seats, checking overhead bins, cleaning the interior windows and the air vents and restocking with a paper towel roll, trash bags and toilet paper. Keep the wash pad clean and free of debris at all times. Keep all supplies for cleaning in an orderly manner, before and after cleaning a bus.
