Job Title: Over the Road Class A CDL Driver

Compensation: Starting pay is $.64 per mile. 

Schedule: Home 2 days every week. We are on a dedicated leaving Baton Rouge round trip weekly

Job Description: We are currently seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers to join our team as Over the Road Drivers. As an Over the Road Driver with Hammond Logistics LLC, you will be responsible for transporting freight across various locations within the United States. This position offers a competitive starting pay of 64 cent per mile, along with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maneuver company-owned vehicles, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport freight to designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked, miles traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and update on progress.
• Handle freight with care and ensure proper loading and unloading procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 10 months of verifiable OTR (Over the Road) driving experience.
• Must be able to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical examination and drug screening.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to be on the road for extended periods (2 weeks at a time) with scheduled home time of 3 days.
• TWIC card preferred.
• We require one or more endorsements.
