Pay: $21.00-23.00

POSITION SUMMARY:
As the PRN Certified Nursing Assistant, you will work part-time, on-call, assisting with patient care, administering medication and treatments, monitoring patient condition and collaborating with clinical team. This position will require you to submit a month of availability at a time. Our schedulers and office staff will direct you to fill staffing needs on a flexible and as-needed basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Bathes patient, assists with showers and partial baths as appropriate.
2. Helps patient maintain personal hygiene and assist with all aspects of activity of daily living.
3. Takes and records vital signs as assigned, including blood pressure, temperature, respiration, etc.
4. Assists patient in getting ready for doctor appointments.
5. Carries out assigned tasks on patients and follows Home Health Aide Care Plans.
6. Performs delegated tasks after instruction by RN or PT.
7. Lifts, turns, and weighs patients as appropriate.
8. Assists patients with proper exercises and assist PT in the rehabilitation for patient when applicable.
9. Answers patient questions about self-care techniques and gives instructions that will assist family, patient, and family/support in providing care.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires travel between locations in your personal vehicle.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be registered and listed in good standing on the Nurse Aid Agency in the state of employment
2. Minimum 1 years’ experience in a home health or hospice setting
3. Minimum 1 years of direct patient care.
4. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), required
5. Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines, such as HIPAA
6. Ability to work flexible hours
7. Strong attention to detail
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
10. Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
11. Must pass a criminal background check

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
2. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
3. 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently
