We are seeking a Claims Adjuster specializing in Workers Compensation. This role is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, and involves investigating, analyzing, and determining the extent of our responsibility for lost wages, medical benefits, and permanent impairment in relation to workers' compensation claims. This is a short-term contract position.

Responsibilities:
• Investigate first reports to ascertain the nature of loss, coverage provided, and scope of injuries.
• Promptly establish contact with insured parties to develop the file appropriately for accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis.
• Maintain a proactive diary to ensure timely development of the file and resolution of the claim.
• Adhere to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices act in the recognition and pursuit of recovery where possible.
• Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers.
• Strictly adhere to jurisdiction rules regarding form notices to injured workers, insured parties, and state court.
• Leverage your knowledge of California workers' compensation claim handling, investigative techniques, legal requirements, and regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.
• Utilize your excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide outstanding customer service.
• Apply your strong analytical and negotiation skills to manage claims effectively.
• Administer workers' compensation claims, focusing particularly on cases from California.• Must possess excellent customer service skills to liaise with internal and external customers
• Proficiency in "About Time" software for efficient time management
• Experience in claims administration, specifically in worker's compensation
• Knowledge of regulations and legal requirements pertaining to worker's compensation
• Strong negotiation skills to achieve best possible outcomes in claim settlements
• Familiarity with industry practices related to worker's compensation
• Excellent communication skills for effective interactions and correspondence
• Experience in compensation administration to calculate and distribute appropriate wages and benefits
• Skills in recovery practices to recoup costs from insurance companies
• Ability to work onsite when required
• Experience in issuing timely notices to all relevant parties in a claim
• Knowledge of wage calculation in the context of worker's compensation
• Experience in handling worker's compensation claims for external customers
• Experience dealing with insurance companies for claim settlement
• Understanding of legal requirements related to worker's compensation
• Proficiency in Cisco Webex Meetings for virtual communication and meetings
• Familiarity with statutory requirements in worker's compensation
• Experience in administering medical benefits for insureds
• Familiarity with Chubb insurance for worker's compensation claims.
