Work Hours | Compensation

• $30 to $38 Hourly | $4,700 to $6,000 Monthly | $56,400 to $71,440 Yearly
• 30-50 hours/week
• Typical hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM (weather or seasonal variations may apply)
• Guaranteed 30 hours/week pay during winter; alternative work options provided if regular work slows down
• Pay period: 25th of the previous month to the 24th of the current month, with direct deposit before month-end
• Additional performance incentives for team leadership and achieving productivity goals

Experience & Certifications:

• U.S. legal residency
• ISA Certified Arborist
• Class A CDL with air brake endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Competent leader with mechanical aptitude
• 3+ years of experience in the tree care industry*

Skills & Expectations:

• Ability to pass drug screenings, background checks, and DOT physicals during employment
• Legally qualified to operate commercial vehicles in Michigan
• Proficient in towing and load management with various trailers and loads
• Experience operating skid steers, loaders, chippers, aerial lifts, and stump grinders
• Proficient in using and maintaining chainsaws, large and small
• Capable of climbing trees with and without spikes, as well as using aerial lifts
• Skilled in crane removals, advanced rigging, and both large and small tree removal/pruning
• Lead and organize crews to efficiently complete daily work orders
• Maintain professionalism and build long-term relationships with clients
• Ability to effectively and accurately bid residential tree jobs

Equipment:

• Must maintain reliable transportation to and from job sites (company vehicle options available)
• Required: chaps/chainsaw protective pants, footwear, gloves, eye protection
• Required: personal climbing gear (throw ball/line, saddle, belay device, climb line, ascenders, spikes, hand saw, etc.)
• Preferred: top-handle chainsaw(s)

Daily Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time and ready to work in all weather conditions
• Stock trucks with necessary inventory for the workday
• Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections
• Conduct jobsite safety briefings with the crew, addressing any questions
• Train and mentor fellow employees to enhance skillsets and promote team productivity
• Assist with various tasks as needed (truck driving, equipment operation, climbing, ground work, chainsaw operation, etc.)
• Maintain clean and organized equipment and trucks
• Occasional shop work including mowing, firewood processing, equipment maintenance, and parts pickup/drop-off
• Potential involvement in job bidding

Safety Responsibilities:

• Always wear required safety equipment
• Adhere to safety guidelines on every job
• Safeguard employees, clients, and public from hazards
• Protect property in work areas
• Report property damage or equipment loss to management immediately
