Qualifications:

  • At least one year of restaurant or retail experience
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to and monitor all requirements related to food and beverage safety

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintains a clean, appropriately-stocked coffee shop and organized workspace so that team members can locate resources and products as needed.
    • Prepares or serves hot/cold/blended beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, or tea.
    • Serves prepared foods, such as muffins, pastries, or bagels.
    • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, utensils, or equipment.
    • Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
    • Takes customer order and processes payments.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the core values and mission of OMC.
  • Maintains a friendly, calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep coffee shop operating to standards and to set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Anticipates customer and coffee shop needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
  • Communicates information to manager so that the coffee shop will efficiently operate to OMC standards.
  • Assists with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in team member morale and performance and communicating them to coffee shop manager.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers by acting with a Customer Comes First attitude and connecting with the customer.
  • Discovers and responds to customer needs.
  • Follows OMC operational policies and procedures, practicing safe work habits ensuring the safety of all coffee shop team members during each shift.
  • Serves as an ambassador for OMC.
