Collision/Body Shop Manager
Young Chevrolet is actively seeking an experienced, dedicated, and knowledgeable Body Shop Manager to assist in advancing our Collision Centers to keep up with the increasing demand of business. We are committed to hiring a top-notch performer with a proven success record who can assist in creating exceptional experiences for our customers.
The Collision/Body Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the finances, operations, employee development, and customer service of the dealership. This individual will maintain inventory, supervise and develop personnel, and influence the profitability of the Collision Center.
Job functions include but not limited to:
- Employs, trains, motivates and monitors the performance of all body shop personnel. The Body Shop Manager oversees employees and ensures that the requirements of productivity and time schedule standards are met.
- Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with insurance adjusters and control accounts for body repair work. The Body Shop Manager promotes repeat and referral business.
- Checks technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
- Follow up on parts department orders to ensure the availability of components.
- Supervises the progress and completion of vehicles in the store, ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed. The Body Shop Manager handles customer complaints promptly and according to dealership's guidelines.
- Maintain high-quality service repairs and reduce returns. The Body Shop Manager performs periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
- Observes the maintenance of paint booths, frame straightening equipment, and other large, fixed assets to ensure long-term utilization and value.
- Understand and comply with Federal, State and Local regulations that pertain to Body Shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.

Employee Prerequisites:
- Onboarding process completed within days of applying!
- 3-5 years' experience managing a team in auto repair production industry. Pay based on experience.
- Advance understanding and knowledge of the collision repair process/procedures.
- Excellent of verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
