We are looking for a financial leader to drive our accounting operations and strategic planning. Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned and highly qualified Corporate Controller to oversee all financial operations. Reporting to the CFO, you will be critical in maintaining the financial integrity of the company, ensuring compliance, optimizing cash flow, and providing strategic financial insights for our heavy highway and bridge projects. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Management: Direct all accounting functions, including the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP. Job Costing & Analysis: Implement and maintain robust Job Costing systems, monitor project profitability, and analyze Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules for accuracy and risk. Cash Flow & Treasury: Manage company cash flow, banking relationships, and capital expenditure planning. Compliance & Audit: Oversee all external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting (e.g., FAR/DCAA compliance experience for government contracts is a plus). Strategic Support: Partner with the executive team and Project Managers to provide financial insights that inform bidding, contracting, and operational decisions. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Certifications: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) highly preferred; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a strong alternative. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years in a Controller or senior leadership role within the heavy civil/construction industry. Industry Knowledge: Deep, specialized knowledge of construction accounting principles (AIA billing, percentage of completion, lien waivers, retention). Technical Skills: Expert proficiency with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300/Timberline, Viewpoint, Procore), advanced data analysis, and financial modeling skills.That is an excellent strategy to maximize candidate reach.
