Job Summary
The Credit Union Manager position plans and directs all activities in accordance with the CU's policies as established by the Board of Directors, and all state and federal policies and regulations. Position oversees CU operations including software, IT, investments, payroll, other financial entities and vendors, accounts payable and receivable. Directing and coordinating a high level of communication and team work with directors, committee volunteers, employees and members.

Ziegler Federal Credit Union (ZFCU) is a small in-house credit union with a closed membership for Ziegler Companies employees and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective credit union policies and procedures.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance is maintained with federal and state governments, NCUA, external auditors and CU committees, and keeps informed on any forthcoming changes.
  • Serves as the Bank Security Act officer and oversees cash handling.
  • Prepare Board of Directors monthly reports and facilitates monthly board meetings.
  • Provide training to board members, committee members and CU staff.
  • Maintain positive relationship with sponsor and membership.
  • Provide member services for their savings and loan needs. Prepare loan applications for committee review and close loans. Ensure loan files are in compliance. Monitor loan delinquencies and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Manage customer relationships by providing exceptional service and addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding their accounts.
  • Oversee cash handling processes, ensuring accuracy in cash management and adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or completion of GED.
  • 1 -2 years of job related experience
  • Proven ability to multi-task.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
