We are a new college preparatory elementary and middle school serving the students of Jackson, MS.
Dean of Academic Operations Reports to: Principal
Hours: Full-time
Certification: Recommended
Responsibilities and Duties The Academic Operations coordinator will assist with overseeing and managing school data systems, instructional technology, schoolwide data, systems, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities of the School Academic Operations Specialist duties will include, but are not limited to:
Academic operations - Service as testing coordinator, including, training, administering, and coordinating all schoolwide assessments and interventions, and compliance
- Identify school field lesson opportunities and work with GLCs for coordination
- Working alongside the ED and Leadership team to research, plan, and execute school innovation strategies
- Work with family and community engagement coordinator to coordinate Family Nights and other community events
- Assists the leadership team in coordinating special population programs
- Gather, input, and create data reports as needed for school administrators
- Evaluates performance in assigned departments in accordance with state law and regulation, and Ambition Prep policy and procedures.
- Designing and managing all school-wide academic operations systems
- Support with schoolwide communications
- Assist with managing after-school/care club coordination
- Assist with the training of new staff in relevant areas
- Provide classroom and intervention support, as needed
- Support with the acquisition of instructional resources
- Coordinate professional development operations
- Manage school-level purchasing
- Participate in school-wide duties, such as arrival and dismissal
- Support with any other academic and operational task as needed, assigned by the Principal

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required
- Background check passed, required
- Minimum of 2 years in school leadership
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in working with teams and individuals to meet specific and strategic outcomes
- Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing teams and delivering professional development
