Director of FP&A

📍 Location: Itasca, IL

💰 Compensation: $170K–$210K base + bonus + full benefits

About the Opportunity

A fast-growing, private equity–backed services organization with nationwide reach is seeking a Director of FP&A . Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is highly visible and will partner closely with the executive team to drive financial performance, strategic decision-making, and long-term growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Build and maintain advanced financial models, dashboards, and scenario analyses to support decision-making.
• Provide executive leadership with weekly performance reporting, variance analyses, KPIs, and actionable insights.
• Serve as a trusted partner to the CFO, COO, CEO, and senior leaders by delivering data-driven recommendations.
• Support evaluation of M&A opportunities, including due diligence, modeling, and post-acquisition integration.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering excellence in accuracy, timeliness, and insight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA/CPA/CFA preferred).
• 7+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision support.
• Proven ability to communicate insights to senior leadership and influence outcomes.
• Experience in private equity–backed environments and/or M&A strongly preferred.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
