Role: eCommerce Bookkeeper who LOVES numbers, teamwork, and checklists

Position Details

1. Ideal Candidate Characteristics

• Accounting or business major with experience in QBO or Xero
  *Degree ideal, but not required with equivalent experience
• Loves numbers and enjoys a collaborative team environment
• Has the heart of a teacher and wants to help clients understand how their numbers reflect their business activity
• Committed to meeting deadlines for month-end close (approx by the 10th of the following month) while juggling priorities across multiple clients
• Self-directed and disciplined to work remotely while managing career and personal boundaries

2. Key Revenue Driving Responsibilities and Success Metrics

• Review and categorize clients' expenses to properly coded accounts twice a week (beginning and end-of-week) with 95% accuracy
• Reconcile and close clients' books by the 10th of every month 85% of the time with review minutes of 1/2 hour or less
• Meet month-end deadlines for 90% of clients by the 10th of each month - (e.g. payroll processing, reconciliations, invoicing)
• Keep billable hours within 105% of work budgeted for each client
• Meet with 95% of assigned clients using web conferencing software at least quarterly to review their books from the prior quarter and maintain positive relations

4. Future resume and Gross Margin Analysis Email Assignment (approximately 1 hour)
5. Second Interview (online conference call)
6. Final Interview with bookskeep leadership (online conference call)
7. Team Shadow Day to test drive the role and team fit/culture (4-6 hours paid @ $120 flat rate)
8. Pass background and credit check
