Job Summary

If you're interested in a Entry-Level Biologist job, then this is the best role for you! This role will primarily provide support for our high-throughput entomology testing platform via application of basic biological concepts and procedures

 

Job Description

• Prepare a variety of solutions and artificial diets for insect bioassays.
• Maintain and care for plants in growth chambers and/or greenhouse environments.
• Set up and score insect bioassays accurately and efficiently.
• Perform data entry and ensure accurate record-keeping of experimental results.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment as needed.
• Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of laboratory and controlled environment areas.
• Typically works under immediate supervision and reports to a supervisor or manager.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

• Capable of working independently as well as within a diverse team
• Experience in agricultural biotechnology or automation/robotics is a plus

 

Education/Training/Certifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in biology, entomology, plant physiology, or a related field.

 

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
• Shift: 08:00 AM

 

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $27.00 to $35.00 per hour based on qualifications.
