ACS Group is a Fire Protection Engineering and Life Safety Code Consulting firm with offices located in Austin, TX, Boston, MA, Las Vegas, NV, and Reno, NV.

We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Protection Engineer located in the Dallas, TX area to join the ACS team. The ideal candidate is passionate about fire protection engineering and looking for a professional environment that fosters development and growth.

What to Expect:

The successful candidate will provide clients with exceptional fire protection engineering and life safety code consulting services. Anticipated roles and responsibilities to include:

• Work with leadership to implement the DFW office operations framework and business plan in the local market.
• Act as project manager for DFW-based projects. This includes managing the schedules, budgets, and quality control of deliverables.
• Effectively communicate with project design team members, clients, and other project stakeholders.
• Engage in business development activities to manage new and existing client relationships for future projects.
• Generate technical reports detailing project specific building and fire code parameters.
• Design of fire protection systems including fire suppression, fire detection, fire alarm, and mass notification systems.
• Review and consultancy of project related design documentation for life safety code compliance.
• Support other Senior ACS Group staff with project related tasks such as dust hazard analyses, hazard mitigation analyses, and performance-based design.
• Conduct architectural drawing reviews to identify critical egress issues along with the preparation of master egress drawings for various projects.
• Build fire, smoke, and/or egress models for various projects. The modeling software that will be utilized are CONTAM, Pathfinder, and FDS
• Develop criteria and/or review design drawings and specifications of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems for project bidding.
• Classify and quantify hazardous materials in accordance with the International Fire Code based on information provided by the client. Produce chemical hazardous analysis report based on findings.

What We’re Looking For:

• Must reside in the Dallas / Fort Worth metro area.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and/or Civil engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience using BlueBeam, AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Attendance and participation in local professional organizations
• Ability to work well independently and to interact with other industry professionals, associated trades, and jurisdictional authorities.
• Experience with data centers, automotive/battery manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, and other industrial facilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $95,000-130,000 annually; dependent on experience
