Your role and responsibilities
As a HR Support Specialist, you will be a member of the HR services team reporting to the in the ABB Distributions Solutions in Pinetops, NC, responsible for delivering HR service assistance to the HR community, business managers and employees. This person will act as the main point of contact for day-to-day HR activities in the Pinetops Manufacturing facility. This role will need to be able to work an in-person (#LI-Onsite) schedule in the Pinetops facility. Please note - previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required for this role. You will be mainly accountable for: - Addressing HR-related issues, answering questions, and initiating and managing AskHR tickets, showing employees how to find HR-related information and how to use self-service functions. - Leading on site timekeeping and payroll sign-off and administration and responding to and addressing routine compensation, payroll, benefits, and time management inquiries while performing Workday and HR System Transactions. - Ensuring that systems and databases have up-to-date employee and organizational information with high data quality and accuracy, and providing reports where required - Actively engaging with the manufacturing staff and supervisors to create and maintain relationships. - Engaging in other duties and projects to support HR, as needed.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related field (or significant relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- HR Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR operation as generalist in HR service lines (HR Information System, Employee Life Cycle, Learning & Development, People Analytics, Talent Acquisition) OR Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years of experience.
- Required experience in working in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of local statutory, legal and labor law.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
