Job Title: Project Manager, HR Project Office
Location: Hybrid (Tampa, FL or Lawrenceville, NJ)
Duration: 9+ Months
Work Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay Rate : $65/hr. to $71.42/hr (Depending upon the experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Human Resources (HR) Project Office. The ideal candidate will focus on continuous improvement initiatives and oversee the efficient execution of HR-related projects. The Project Manager will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in HR, optimizing processes, driving efficiencies, and ensuring alignment with the organization's goals. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, leadership in change management, and strong project management capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Lead HR projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Develop project plans, establish timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as the HR SME, offering guidance to HR Project Office team members.
Stay informed of HR industry trends, best practices, and regulatory updates to maintain HR compliance.
Change Management:
Lead change management efforts for HR process improvements, ensuring seamless implementation and user adoption.
Develop and deliver training programs related to HR processes and project management.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Establish strong relationships with HR team members, department heads, and external partners to ensure project success.
Act as the main point of contact between HR and other departments, ensuring alignment of project goals with organizational objectives.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify project risks and issues, escalating them to senior leadership as necessary.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and provide regular updates on project status.
Budget Tracking:
Assist in tracking project budgets and expenses, collaborating with the finance team for accurate financial reporting.
Prepare financial reports on project expenditures as needed.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to project quality standards and best practices.
Participate in quality reviews and audits to ensure project excellence.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in human resources, business administration, operations management, project management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in a project management role, preferably within HR.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, MS SharePoint, MS Teams) and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in change management and managing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP), PSM/CSM, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
Management consulting experience.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid work model with a mix of remote work and on-site presence in Tampa, FL or Lawrenceville, NJ.
Standard office hours (Monday to Friday, 8 AM 5 PM).
Occasional travel for project meetings, training, or business needs.
Physical Demands:
Sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and lifting (up to 10 pounds).
Frequent use of computer and office equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person.
Additional Information:
Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
