Residential HVAC Installer
Pilot Mechanical Heating & Cooling — Rochester Hills, MI
Serving Southeast Michigan

Position Summary

We’re looking for a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our team. You’ll install heating and cooling systems for new construction and residential projects, delivering quality work and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and retrofit furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, and thermostats.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job specs, and mechanical codes.
• Perform start-up procedures, refrigerant charging, airflow balancing, and system testing.
• Maintain high standards for workmanship, job site cleanliness, and safety.
• Communicate clearly with customers, builders, and team members.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely installations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years installing residential HVAC systems, preferably with new construction experience.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Michigan Mechanical License or progress toward licensure preferred.
• Ability to fabricate ductwork, braze copper lines, and use digital tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and tolerate Michigan weather.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
