EquipmentShare is Hiring a Intern: Content & SEO

EquipmentShare is searching for an inquisitive and detail-oriented Content & SEO Intern to join our team for the summer of 2025. This role is ideal for someone interested in learning the intricacies of search engine optimization (SEO), technical content creation, and the application of large language models (LLMs) in generating high-quality, technical copy. You will play a crucial role in creating impactful web content designed to rank well on search engines while training AI models to refine their output.

Pay Range: $18-$20/hr

Responsibilities

SEO Fundamentals & Implementation:

Learn and apply basic SEO strategies to optimize web pages, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and competitive analysis. Collaborate with our SEO team to incorporate best practices into technical copy for improved search engine visibility.

Technical Copywriting:

Write engaging and accurate technical content for web pages with a focus on clarity and audience relevance. Ensure that all copy aligns with SEO goals and conveys complex ideas in a digestible format for users.

AI and LLM Training:

Work with large language models to train them in producing specialized technical content. This involves curating data, developing training materials, and testing the models' output to ensure high accuracy and relevance.

Content Strategy and Development:

Participate in planning sessions to help create and execute strategies that maximize content effectiveness. Assist in measuring and evaluating the performance of content for continuous improvement.

Keyword Research & Competitive Analysis:

Conduct keyword research to identify target terms that align with our content goals. Perform competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for our content to excel in search results.

Collaboration & Feedback:

Collaborate with our SEO specialists, content strategists, and AI team to refine content strategies and implement feedback. Participate in team meetings to share insights and report on progress.

What You're Working With:

Must be actively working toward a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related field

Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Have a basic understanding of SEO principles or a willingness to learn

Strong writing and editing skills, with an emphasis on technical subjects

Interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or large language models (prior experience is a plus but not required)

Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and compelling content

Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a passion for learning and adapting in a dynamic environment

Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, AHrefs, SEMRush, or SEO-focused applications is a plus
