Part-Time Housekeeper

A kind family of five on the Upper East Side is seeking a part-time housekeeper to join their team. The role will be 2 days per week for 8 hours. The days are flexible based on the candidate's availability. A 3rd day can be added if the candidate would like to do grocery shopping, wash and chop veggies, meal prep and very light cooking. The family spends July and August in Bridgehampton and the candidate will only need to work one day per week in the city during that time. This would be the time for the candidate to take their PTO.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the home
• All aspects of deep cleaning
• Handle laundry; folding and putting away
• Ensure all floors and surfaces are always kept spotless
• Maintain a tidy, well-presented kitchen and bathrooms at all times
• Changing sheets and linens
• Candidates should feel comfortable with meal prep and cooking if they are going to work 3 days
• The family has three children so they are looking for a team-player and someone who loves children.

Qualifications:

• Someone able to run errands, prepare school lunches, and grocery shopping would be a huge benefit
• The family would like to find someone to be with them long-term.
• The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and thoughtful.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work 2-3 days per week
• Must be OK taking PTO while the family travels or during the summer when the family is in the Hampton's
• Minimum 5 years of experience in private, high-level households
• Knowledge of fabrics. Must be able to read clothing labels
• Child-friendly and family-oriented demeanor
• Legal to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits:

• Family is offering $45/hr DOE
• 2-3 weeks paid time off at the family's choice
