Our staff currently consists of a full-time Youth and Worship Pastor, part-time Children and Family’s Pastor and a full-time Office Administrator; as well, we have a six-person Board and dependable volunteers. Cedarview is looking for someone who is focused on making real connections and relationships with our congregation and community, who will lead our staff and support their visions for their ministries, as well as support and further the church’s vision of being a light and presence in our community of Paris.
JOB DESCRIPTION
– Be enthusiastic and genuine in both your personal life and spiritual life
– Teach and preach God’s Word on Sunday mornings
– Attend church events and functions
– Lead weekly staff meetings
– Encourage, recruit, and give direction to Cedarview volunteers
– Communicate transparently with staff and congregants
– Organize and maintain small groups and Bible Studies
– Connect with congregation members in their home, over the phone and in the office
– Visitations with congregants when there is a loss, sickness or health concerns
– Willing and comfortable being featured on as well as using Cedarview’s social media and live stream platforms
REQUIREMENTS
– Active credential holder with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) in good standing
– Follow and be in agreement with the PAOC Fundamentals and Essential Truths
– A bachelor’s degree in theology or a related field
– Agree to abide by Cedarview Church Paris’ By-laws and policies
– 5 years as a Lead Pastor would be an asset
– Committed to spending time in prayer and study in preparation for preaching, leadership and ministry
– Committed to personal spiritual growth
– Passionate to serve the community and church family in a Godly manner
– Creative and energetic
– Collaboratively work with staff and leadership
– Willing and passionate about mentoring our staff
– Lead by example in personal discipleship, stewardship and Christ-centred Spirit-filled living
– Respectful of all Demographics and Cultures – previous experience working with a culturally diverse church would be beneficial
Hours of Work
– Salary based off 40 hours per week
– Two days off per week
