We are now looking for a Lead Production Operator for our Baltimore, MD location. This position is responsible for the safe operations of the plant production lines. The role also loads railcars with product and offloads raw materials from railcars and truck tankers. This role performs tasks designed to optimize process efficiency and output. Above all, this role requires a strict adherence to safety rules and best practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform lab analysis tasks and collect production samples
• Ensure proper operation of all equipment in the plant
• Monitor tank levels and process instrumentation; perform adjustments as required
• Load finished goods into truck tankers or railcars as needed, with attention to quality of product being loaded and special instructions on individual orders
• Ensure operations have zero environmental non-compliance
• Operate powered industrial vehicles such as forklift, man-lift, and overhead crane
• Connect/disconnect railroad cars
• Available to work overtime as required, including stay-overs and call-ins
• Available to work all shifts day/night

What you’ll bring to the team:

• High School education or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience working with little supervision
• Experience with MS office applications including word, excel, power point and outlook.
