Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6
• Route and label cables according to project specifications and building codes
• Install and mount communications equipment, racks, patch panels, jacks, and faceplates
• Perform cable certification using testing tools (Fluke or similar)
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company standards
• Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and other technicians to ensure successful project execution
• Document installation processes, test results, and project progress
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site
• Troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues in low voltage systems

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus)
• 1–3+ years of experience in low voltage or structured cabling installation
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment
• Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification
