• Complete loan application and submit on behalf of the borrowing applicant
• Counsel applicants and home buyers on various loan products, buying or refinance process, prospective lenders, and lending guidelines
• Find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers by researching competitive mortgage rates and interest rates and negotiating terms
• Interface with mortgage professionals such as lender institution underwriters, closing agents, and the borrower’s real estate agent to ensure a smooth mortgage process
• Proactively stay abreast of mortgage industry trends and lending rate sheets; maintain strong relationships with mortgage lending sources / mortgage bankers, and establish referral relationships with real estate professionals

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree preferred in banking, finance, economics, business administration, or real estate law
• Current NMLS licensure or National Association of Mortgage Broker license or certification required
• Comfortable with loan origination software and MS office
• Independently resourceful mindset with excellent communications, analysis, and time-management skills
• Knowledge of loan process from origination to close and various loan products is needed
