Position Overview

The CRNP/PMHNP would be Agape's Medical Director. This is a part-time position (minimum of 20 hours per week) responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the mental healthcare facility, overseeing staff recruitment, implementing regulations, and improving communication. Collaborating with the CEO/President and administrators, the Medical Director will prioritize high-quality patient care, and stay updated on mental healthcare trends.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Efficiency:

Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Agape Mental Health Services.

Collaborate with the CEO/President and administrators to set and achieve strategic goals.

Regulatory Compliance:

Implement and adhere to relevant laws and regulations within Agape Mental Health Services.

Ensure compliance with the medical oversight of the OMHC as indicated in COMAR 10.21.20.10 and all references made to the program director and/or program administrator in the applicable OMHC COMAR regulations.

Financial Oversight:

Research and inform the executive team of cost reduction solutions, risk management issues, and emergency planning procedures.

Communication and Coordination:

Develop innovative strategies to enhance communication between doctors’ offices, hospitals, and patients.

Relay time-sensitive and high-priority information efficiently and effectively during meetings and other feedback mechanisms.

Staff Leadership:

Oversee recruitment, training, and performance of medical staff.

Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Lead staff regarding up-to-date knowledge of behavioral health practices.

Quality Patient Care:

Ensure delivery of quality medical care and consumer satisfaction.

Oversee and direct the medical staff’s day-to-day operations and practices.

Ensure the adequacy and the client's understanding of their treatment, prescriptions, and programs.

Provide evaluation and treatment services as per program protocol.

Strategic Development:

Develop ongoing relationships with the medical community.

Implement core values and lead by example, cultivating a positive culture.

Engage in strategic planning to advance Agape Mental Health Service’s mission and objectives.

Administrative Duties:

Participate in the admission process.

Maintain and implement an understanding of medical documentation.

Ensure ITPs are reviewed and signed

Ensure adequate clinical supervision of clinical/medical staff.

Serve as the medical leadership representative during staff meetings and on designated committees.

Qualifications:

Licensure CRNP-PMH, Psychiatrist, degree from an accredited medical school with a current state medical license.

Valid Maryland DEA license.

Relevant practice and supervisory experience, including 5 years in a specialty of care and managerial roles.

Highly skilled in written, verbal, and technological communication.

Physical Demands:

Regularly walk, stand, or stoop.

Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Regularly drive a motor vehicle.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed at home and occasionally in the office as needed.
