Occupational Health Nurse (2nd shift) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Sunnyvale, CA!
Top Skills You Should Possess: - Experience in Occupational Health and/or Employee Health
What You’ll Be Doing: - Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries
- Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety. Note: most of these services are performed offsite by an outside clinic, but the nurse will be responsible for scheduling, obtaining and reviewing all results from the clinic
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements
- Dispense OTC Medications
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2pm – 10:30pm
What You Need to Bring to the Table: - Active and unrestricted California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- At least five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in Occupational / Employee Health, ER, or Urgent Care settings a plus
- Audiometry and/or Spirometry certifications a plus
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, and internet navigation
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
- Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations
