Job Description

Story Behind the Need

  • Business group: The successful candidate will support Disability Case Managers and Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellors on a variety of tasks and liaison for plan members; schools/colleges; and other stakeholders. The selected individual will mainly support the Calculation Analyst Team.
  • Project: The project involves supporting plan members, the successful candidate will contact plan members via email and phone.

Typical Day in Role

• Providing front line customer service by telephone and email

• Accountability for administrative duties and follow ups with claimants for outstanding information

• Other duties as needed

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

  • Bilingual (English/French) required, verbal and written. Vendors must test their candidates in fluency before being submitting to the job requisition.
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in an administrative/clerical role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Web Based applications.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service experience in a demanding environment.

  • Exceptional Organizational and Administrative Abilities: Encompassing excellent organizational skills and solid office administration.
  • Strong Communication: Merging excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Problem-Solving and Analytical Proficiency: Combining excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a keen analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and Time Management: Integrating the ability to work effectively in a team environment with being deadline driven.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance terminology/concepts would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Armed Forces terminology, processes and concepts would be an asset.

Education:

Post secondary education preferred.
