Position Overview:
Our school is looking for a creative and passionate ASL Storyteller and Deaf Literature Teacher to join our remote education team. In this role, you will introduce deaf and hard of hearing students to the rich tradition of ASL literature and storytelling, while developing their language arts skills in both ASL and written English.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach ASL literature, including poetry, storytelling, and Deaf cultural narratives
- Develop and deliver engaging online lessons on language arts topics
- Foster students' creativity through ASL storytelling and position assignments
- Introduce students to prominent Deaf authors and their works
- Teach parative analysis between ASL and written English literature
- Guide students in developing their own ASL stories and performances
- Incorporate Deaf culture and history into literature and language arts lessons

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies, ASL Literature, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Valid teaching license with endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education
- Native or near-native fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Minimum of 3 years experience teaching ASL literature or language arts to DHH students
- Demonstrated expertise in ASL storytelling and performance
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and video editing software
- Strong creative skills and ability to inspire students' artistic expression
