Trinity Christian College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Biology, beginning August 2025.
Qualifications:
The Department of Natural Sciences is seeking a doctorally-trained biologist with expertise in anatomy and physiology. While a Ph.D. is preferred, other doctoral degrees would be considered. Those with terminal degrees in health-related fields would also be considered. Experience in college-level teaching and scholarship is desired. A Master’s degree is required.
Trinity seeks faculty candidates who are professing Christians and are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Successful candidates will possess the ability to articulate the relationship between their academic discipline, the vocational preparation of their students, and a vision for human flourishing that emerges from the Christian faith. Successful candidates are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside of the classroom through faculty-mentored research, advising, and other settings. Trinity particularly welcomes applications from candidates who have professional or personal narratives that reflect diverse perspectives, as well as those who have engaged with issues relevant to preparing students to work and live with intercultural competence and compassion.
Responsibilities:
This is a 9-month tenure-track faculty role. Primary responsibilities include teaching Trinity’s two-semester series of Anatomy and Physiology courses as well as other courses that serve the department and college needs and align with the area of expertise of the successful candidate.
All faculty participate at Trinity in faculty governance and are expected to pursue a healthy scholarly and research agenda. In their first year, new faculty participate in a year-long formation program that begins with a three-day institute in August.
About the Department:
The Natural Sciences Department offers majors in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, environmental science, and more. It serves undergraduate students interested in graduate school or medical school, ecology and environmental science, and the allied health sciences. The department also provides service courses for nursing and exercise science majors and for Trinity’s Foundations program. More information about the department can be found on the college website .
Compensation:
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance.
Timeline:
