Now Hiring: Phlebotomist I – Ellenton, FL (Full-Time, Onsite)
Location: 7036 US Highway 301 N, Ellenton, FL 34222
Contact Length: 3+months
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM; rotational Saturdays every 3rd Saturday (7:00 AM–11:00 AM @ Lakewood Ranch)
Pay Rate: $17.75–$19.75/hr (based on experience)
Join one of the most respected names in diagnostics! We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist I to provide excellent patient care and accurate specimen collection at our Ellenton, FL location.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform quality blood draws on patients of all ages – pediatrics through geriatrics
• Prepare and label specimens accurately for lab testing
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
• Build patient trust through clear communication and skilled sample collection
• Collaborate with supervisors and lab staff to ensure timely and accurate specimen handling
• Follow established procedures for forensic and clinical specimen collection and documentation
Requirements:
• Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred
• Experience drawing blood from both pediatric and geriatric patients
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Strong keyboard/data entry skills required
• Must be flexible for weekend/holiday/on-call/overtime shifts
• Reliable transportation (rideshare/bus not acceptable)
• Must reside within a 20–25 minute commute of the Ellenton site
• Must be punctual and available for the full shift; excessive tardiness/absences will result in termination
