Job Description

We are seeking experienced Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technicians for a remote contract opportunity, with the potential to convert to permanent hire.

Position Details:

• Setting: Pharmacy Benefit Management / Utilization Management

• Location: Remote (Must reside in Florida or Texas )

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (ET or CT based on location)

• Duration: 13 weeks, possible contract-to-hire

Responsibilities:

• Review prior authorization (PA) forms and facilitate determinations with payers

• Resolve payer issues to ensure prescriptions are approved

• Coordinate approved prescriptions to designated pharmacies

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to streamline PA processes

Required Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacy Technician License in state of residence (Florida or Texas)

• Prior Authorization (PA) experience

• Strong knowledge of insurance benefits and third-party billing

• Excellent communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

• Technology savvy with the ability to adapt in a start-up environment

• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance (must work in a private space with door closure)

• High-speed internet at home

Preferred Experience (Highly Desired):

• Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) background

• National Certification (PTCB)
