*Job Title:* Part-Time/PRN RN-T Assistant
*Location:* Ottawa Friendship House
*Reports to:* RN-T
*Job Type:* Part-Time / PRN (As Needed)

*Position Overview:*

Ottawa Friendship House is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time/PRN RN-T Assistant to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home-based setting. This role requires both direct care responsibilities and nursing support, offering flexibility and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. The RN-T Assistant will provide on-call coverage and assist in the home during weekends and nurse absences.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Onboarding & Training:*
* Complete all required onboarding paperwork.
* 40 hours of Relias Learning.
* 80 hours of on-the-job training.
* DSP Certification and Rule 116 training and certification.
* *On-Call Responsibilities:*
* Serve on-call every other weekend.
* Work 5 hours in the home on both Saturday and Sunday during on-call weekends.
* Provide on-call coverage when the RN is absent or on vacation.
* *Direct Care:*
* Ability to pick up shifts as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at the DSP wage rate when necessary.
* Assist individuals in their homes as needed, with a focus on maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
* *Compensation:*
* $29 per hour when performing duties in a nursing capacity.
* $18 per hour when picking up DSP shifts.
* On-call stipend of $25 per day that you are on call.
* *Limitations:*
* Not responsible for taking individuals to hospitals, doctor’s appointments, or urgent care unless all other avenues have been exhausted.
* Cannot clock in for every phone call—only when physically needed in the home.

*Qualifications:*
* Licensed RN or equivalent certification in the state.
* DSP certification or willingness to become DSP certified.
* Must complete Rule 116 training and certification.
* Ability to work weekends and be on-call every other weekend.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Compassionate and patient, with a desire to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
