Job Description
Girl Scouts San Diego is seeking Part-time Cooks to support the weekend food service operations for our camps located in the beautiful mountain town of Julian, CA.
Cooks will assist with preparing and serving meals for up to 150 youth, adult volunteers, and camp staff on occasional weekends, including Friday evenings through Sunday mornings. Cooks' key responsibilities will include collaborating with the Food Services Manager to plan menus, ensuring all dietary restrictions are met, monitoring food inventories, ensuring on-time readiness of all meals, maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to proper food handling and safety guidelines, and assisting in training the Kitchen Assistants to ensure a positive dining experience.
Qualifications:
Work Hours: Approximately 12-15 hours per scheduled weekend shift
Sample work schedule:
Position Status: Part-time Occasional (as needed)
Hiring salary range : $24.00 - $28.00 per hour (DOE); room & board and meals available on site in Julian during scheduled work weekends.
