Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Remote (India) US EST working hours

Job Description:

We seek a proactive and detail-oriented Offshore Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work remotely from India and collaborate with the US-based teams to ensure the highest quality standards for our software solutions. As a QA Analyst, you will analyze, test, and validate software applications to ensure they meet the specified requirements, perform optimally, and are free from defects. The role demands a strong understanding of the SDLC and the ability to implement test plans, write test cases, and execute functional, regression, and performance tests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Case Creation & Execution:
  • Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive test cases.
  • Design, document, and execute test cases based on user stories, technical specifications, and change requests.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Defect Management:
  • Identify, log, and track defects in a test management tool (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Actively participate in defect meetings and follow up on issues until resolution.
• Test Automation:
  • Design and execute automated test scripts to ensure high efficiency in test execution.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify areas for automation using tools like Selenium or similar frameworks.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure test strategies and timelines are aligned.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives with the offshore team and US-based stakeholders.
• Quality Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive test reports, including test cases, results, and issue logs.
  • Provide feedback on the software's usability and identify potential improvements to product quality and testing processes.

Key Requirements:

• Experience & Skills:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong proficiency in manual testing and test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Experience with test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and defect tracking.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum), and the ability to work within an Agile environment.
  • Experience in testing web applications, APIs, and integrations.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in SQL for database testing and the ability to write complex queries.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
  • Exposure to continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with US-based teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Working Hours:
  • Must be available to work remotely during US EST (Eastern Standard Time) business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience testing pension or retirement systems (or similar financial systems) is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and how they relate to testing applications is advantageous.
