The Role:

The host/hostess greets guests (both arriving and departing) and seats all guests in a friendly manner. Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant. Hosts work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to Far Exceed Expectations Daily for our Guests.

The Venue:

This iconic House of Blues venue is located on the famous Las Vegas Strip inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This venue has a full-service restaurant, music hall, and nightclub. It is a go-to spot for unparalled views of the strip

What you'll do:

•Must have upbeat, outgoing and positive attitude

•Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills

•Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment

•Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

•Ability to work effectively within a team

•Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time

•Proficient on a reservation system (i.e.: OpenTable, etc.)

What you'll need:

Required:

•Exceptional communication skills

•Sense of Urgency

•Time Management

•Kitchen sanitation standards

•Critical thinking and decision making

•High School diploma

Preferred:

•Able to communicate in Spanish

•Point of Sales experience

Physical Work Demands:

•Ability to work in a very fast paced environment with considerable noise and interruptions.

•Must be able to change activity frequently.

•Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, pushing, balancing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, handling.

•Must be able to grasp and hold very small objects.

•Ability to walk and stand for long period of time.

•Ability to lift and carry objects up to 35 pounds.
