Sales Coordinator (Operations Focus)

General Overview

Skill, aptitude, experience with sales and sales management within a contract manufacturing business environment. Customer Centric advocacy and superior skills balancing internal and external business requirements.

Education, Experience, and Certification:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business and or Communications.
  • In lieu of Undergraduate degree a successful track record of industry experience and or associate degree or certification (trade school, junior college or verified experience in similar field/employer).
  • 2 to 4 years of industry sales experience preferred and English as a primary language, secondary languages is a plus and is recognized as additional skillset.
  • Familiarity with MS office Suite software and phone systems

Inside Sales Core Job Responsibilities:

Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.

Prospecting and active assignment of potential new customers.

  • Identify, Company, Product/Brands, Contact Person(s)
  • Employ written, verbal, video conference, digital means of communication to reach target customer contact and markets.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new account, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
  • Wins and fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date, and notification of process interruption. PO management.
  • Develops accounts by analyzing customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features. Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.
  • Completes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Meeting sales goals as assigned and as initiated.
  • Excellent Management of Client base; Excellent and Developing Closing skills

Customer Service / Customer Centricity

  • Skill or experience managing and communicating contractual agreements and basic terms and condition.
  • Excellent day to day organization of open order, in process order, scheduling and closed order management.
  • Sales reporting of MTD and YTD revenue, growth comparisons, adjustments, and pipeline value.
  • Basic calculations of Gross Margin Net Margin, % Up/Down, Pricing calculations.

Business development

  • Experience or knowledge identifying pipelines for new business growth, including new markets, new distribution channels, or new products.
  • Experience or knowledge of internal processes in contract manufacturing of personal care products of similar.
  • Identify with customer and prospects laboratory testing requirements and manage/document start to completions of process.
  • Ability to manage all customer sample requests and delivery.
  • Ability to communicate verbal, written, effectively; problem solve business process and employ follow up activity on behalf of sales and customer requirements.
  • Strong understanding of new business on boarding.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Ability to utilize customer relationship management software or execute assigned relationship goals, tracking and activity as assigned.

Marketing and Telemarketing

  • Experience with strategies aimed at communicating with a target audience for the purpose of promoting a client, target customer, product or market segment.
  • Track and organize customer engagement with quality measures, conflict recording, corrective action reporting, sales data, revenue measures.
  • Travel as required 10% to 20%

Inside Sales Negotiation Aptitude and B2B sales

  • Skill or experience with customer facing negotiation, typically in a business, financial, supplier requirements, basic legal and ethical context and local practices. Experience with negotiation and persuading internal departments (customers) to understand and comply with a customer centric experience and best practices.
  • Experience in selling contract manufacturing goods and services to businesses. Ability to identify and overcome objection, present differentiators, focus customer and manufacturing on advantages and value-added opportunities.

Technical Sales Skills:

Experience in presenting customized solutions for individual customers or organizations.

  • Ability to communicate technical information internally and externally.
  • Understands and communicate basic raw material, finished product attributes and characteristics.
  • Understands and communicate packaging material attributes and characteristics.
  • Understands and communicate Leadtime requirements.
  • Understands and communicate shipping logistics / requirements.
  • Enforce and understand terms and conditions internal and external.
  • Basic logistics understanding of shipments In/Outbound and accommodating customer requirements.
