Job Overview :

The Dickens Village Villager is an ambassador of Macys charged with helping to spread cheer and goodwill among our Dickens Village guests. As a Villager, you will be responsible for ensuring a wonderful holiday experience by employing a mix of entertainment and crowd control techniques to maintain the flow of guests passing through the Dickens Village attraction, while staying in character as a citizen of Victorian London. 

Essential Functions :

• Checking in guests using our computerized reservation system



• Assisting guest with making reservations



• Fielding customer questions and concerns



• Communicating with other Usher team members on guest flow throughout the queue area



• Maintaining crowd control 



• Policing exhibit against damage to figures, littering, and shoplifting



• Communicating problems within the exhibit to managers and security



• Providing assistance to customers



• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality



• Always maintain a cheerful, upbeat demeanor while on stage in front of guests

Qualifications

Education/Experience :

• Crowd control experience with both adults and children required



• Customer service experience required



• Performer experience preferred 

Communication Skills :

• Knowledge of a second language helpful



• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Mathematical Ability :

• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Reasoning Ability :

• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision



• Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment



• Present a professional image consistent with Macy's brand values

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged standing or sitting may be required

Work Hours:
