As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Unarmed Patrol in North East, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and provide outstanding customer service while assisting visitors and staff. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons within the location.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document all incidents and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and site-specific requirements.
  • Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
