Job Description

As a Security Professional - Retail Unarmed Patrol in Glen Burnie, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. This primarily driving post involves conducting routine patrols and providing exceptional customer service and communication to those on site. You will contribute to a welcoming environment by responding to concerns and supporting a culture built on teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity within the retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• This position is primarily a driving post and prior driving experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
