SUMMARY:

SeneGence is a multi-faceted, global beauty and skincare corporation that is committed to making a positives contribution to women everywhere is seeking a Senior Copywriter. We are a privately owned, network marketing company that is in the business of developing and selling personal care products through an independent sales network and have been in business since 1999.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for a skilled and creative Senior Copywriter to join our team and play a key role in shaping the voice of SeneGence. This individual will be responsible for driving compelling storytelling across our product lines, ensuring brand consistency, and developing copy that resonates with our diverse audiences. As a Senior Copywriter, you will lead the charge in developing product name, descriptions, campaigns, and engaging content, while directly managing junior writers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and refine the SeneGence brand voice, ensuring consistent, engaging, and authentic messaging across all channels, including web, email, social media, and product packaging.
• Craft memorable, benefits-driven product stories that captivate both consumers and distributors differentiate SeneGence in the beauty and skincare market. Articulate product benefits and unique selling points to create an emotional connection with the consumer.
• Lead the ideation and development of product names, collections, and campaign taglines that align with the brand’s positioning, appeal to our target audience, and adhere to industry standards.
• Collaborate with and support junior copywriters by offering guidance, feedback, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, on-brand content.
• Own end-to-end copy development for key campaigns, including seasonal promotions, product launches, and sales events. Drive narrative concepts that enhance the consumer journey from awareness to conversion.
• Support content strategy efforts by identifying key messaging opportunities, customer pain points, and seasonal trends that drive engagement and optimize the consumer and distributor experience.
• Writes email campaigns, product descriptions, website, social media and blog copy by using evocative language that focuses on the benefits for the consumer.
• Interpret creative direction from product and promo briefs into persuasive copy concepts
• Work efficiently within tight deadlines to manage numerous projects, delivering concise, accurate, and polished copy with strong calls to action.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of beauty and skincare industry and marketing trends to create the most timely and compelling copy.
• Build and execute editorial messaging through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
• Partner with design team to ensure copy is correctly flowed into design and work on solutions to optimize.
• Drafts test emails through an email marketing tool, Campaign Monitor
• Responsible for writing and proofreading a multitude of different types of marketing material that may include creative collateral, manuals, emails, press releases, advertisements, web pages and other corporate documents
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Advertising, English or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Requires at least 5 years’ experience in a Copywriting position, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior or lead copywriting role, ideally within the beauty, skincare, or direct-selling industries.
• Experience building and maintaining a brand voice
• Must have strong understanding of SEO best practices and how to optimize copy for digital platforms.
• Detail-oriented and data driven
• Must possess competent creative writing as well as technical writing skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
• Must be comfortable adapting to several voices, as there will be ghostwriting responsibilities
• Must have working knowledge/experience with AP Style Book Style
• Requires strong grammatical and verbal skills and must be an excellent speller
• Must possess a flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of the clients
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Requires strong computer and organizational skills, keen eye for details and the ability to verify all copy is accurately stated
• Must be a strategic thinker, be self-motivated and possess a passion for writing in both logical creative styles
• Must possess a positive, helpful attitude with active listening skills
• Must be able to work independently and as a cooperative member of a team
• Must be able to take constructive feedback with a willingness to learn from other creative staff members

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED FOR POSITION:

• Innate creativity and experience writing copy for beauty/skincare preferred
• Experience in direct sales/multi-level marketing/e-commerce

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; frequent walking with occasional standing; may be subject to occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional carrying up to fifty (50) pounds; frequent balancing, bending, handling, feeling, and climbing; occasional reaching, kneeling, and twisting; vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working environment is primarily an office environment, subject to irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
