Senior Counsel - Construction Defect Senior Counsel - Commercial Litigation

Position Overview
The Senior Counsel - Commercial Litigation will be responsible for managing and overseeing complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on construction defect cases. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in litigation and a proven track record in federal court. The Senior Counsel will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure effective legal representation and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee commercial litigation cases, particularly in construction defect matters.
• Develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Represent clients in federal and state court proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes effectively.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide legal guidance on commercial matters.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting commercial litigation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on construction defects.
• Proven experience in federal court litigation.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
