Some of your responsibilities include the following:

• Lead the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects particularly in the Commercial Interiors sector.
• Work with and oversee younger HVAC staff on projects
• Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications, and construction documents for high performance building systems.
• Supervise and effectively manage technical development throughout all phases of design ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and good engineering practice.
• Develops mechanical plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed on assigned tasks.
• Technically involved in the resolution of design problems that may include performing filed investigation or inspections.
• Knowledge and experience with mechanical calculations, equipment selection, ductwork layout, hydronic systems, and construction documents.
• Understand Revit to allow leadership and direction for the design teams.
• Attending field visits, develop visit reports, meet with contractors, as necessary.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high performance facilities.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects
• Communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Background in either commercial or hospitality is a plus.
• Professional commitment to sustainability, LEED accreditation is a plus.
• A professional Engineering license is highly desirable.
