Job Description

The ski lift attendant ensures the safe, efficient operation of ski lifts, primarily by assisting guests with loading/unloading, checking tickets, managing crowds, and performing daily maintenance like snow removal and pre-operation checks, all while working outdoors in various winter conditions and providing excellent customer service. They are key to guest safety and experience, requiring alertness, physical stamina, and strong guest interaction skills. Free Ski Lift pass while employed. Responsibilities: • Lift Operation: Start, stop, and monitor lifts, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. • Guest Assistance: Help skiers and snowboarders load and unload, provide instructions, and offer general resort info. • Safety & Patrol: Check lift passes/tickets, manage lift lines (crowd control), identify hazards, and implement emergency procedures (like calling Ski Patrol). • Maintenance: Shovel snow, clear ice, maintain lift mazes (ramps/fences), and perform daily equipment inspections. • Customer Service: Maintain a friendly, welcoming attitude and resolve minor guest issues. Qualifications: • Outdoors: Primarily outside in all weather (cold, snow, wind) on slippery surfaces. • Physical Demands: Standing/walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, shoveling snow, and working around moving machinery. • Skills: Excellent customer service, alertness, responsibility, and ability to work as part of a team. Compensation: $15 per hour
