ACLC seeks a seasoned SOF-P Medical Instructor/Curriculum Developer to join the JSOMTC team. In this role, you will deliver instruction and support training development. Your contributions will be integral to the progression of medical education through the teaching of NREMT Basic and Paramedic courses. Your responsibilities will include curriculum development and making recommendations to ensure our courses consistently meet the highest education standards.

As the SOF-P Medical Instructor/Curriculum Developer, you will hold the primary teaching responsibilities for the classes assigned to you. Teaching methods will include large-group classroom instruction, small-group sessions, and hands-on training. You will also collaborate closely with SMEs to facilitate teaching blocks within their respective areas of expertise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • The SOF-P Medical Instructor shall be responsible for supporting the daily operations of JSOMTC.
  • Bear the primary teaching responsibility for the classes assigned.
  • Coordinate classes and prepare lesson plans in cooperation with the Course Director person Special Warfare Center & School (SWCS) guidance and standards, including developing practical exercises and learning activities.
  • Assemble and maintain all materials pertaining to blocks of instruction.
  • Assist with and/or complete administrative duties for all POIs as instructed by ACLC.
  • Conduct basic preventative maintenance on low and high-fidelity medical training manikins/ equipment tasks/trainers.
  • Perform PMCS (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance) on all equipment and document it appropriately.
  • Set up and breakdown all required training equipment for each POI instructed.
  • Possesses skills to develop and present educational and command slide presentations.
  • Perform and present database and statistics compilations and analysis as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities per the Performance Work Statement as assigned by ACLC.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced Tactical Practitioner (ATP) (current or expired)
  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance or be able to acquire and maintain one.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic Life Support Instructor
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor
  • Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals Instructor
  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor
  • AHA Basic Life Support Instructor
  • Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic EMT-P certified IAW NREMT

MINIMUM BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be a SOCM graduate, held a grade no less than Sergeant, or a Special Operation Combat Medic, or as an instructor in a USSOCOM medical pipeline.
  • At least three (3) years of Emergency Medicine Instruction experience
