We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Counsel to join our Legal team in Austin, New York City, or Palo Alto, with a primary base in our NYC office. In this role, you will lead high-stakes litigation efforts, directly representing X in disputes, including commercial litigation and class action lawsuits. You will provide strategic legal advice, draft critical legal documents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate complex legal challenges in technology, privacy, and free speech. The ideal candidate is a seasoned attorney with exceptional litigation expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

• Litigate directly across all phases of litigation, including developing case strategy, drafting motions and briefs, conducting document discovery, taking depositions, managing trials, and handling appeals in state and federal courts.
• Provide strategic counsel on litigation risks, advising internal stakeholders on legal strategies, settlements, and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with compliance, policy, and product teams to address legal issues impacting X's platform and operations.
• Oversee and coordinate with external counsel to ensure cost-effective, high-quality legal representation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, settlement agreements, and contracts.
• Stay informed of evolving legal and regulatory landscapes, particularly in technology, privacy, and free speech, to proactively mitigate risks.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York, California, or Texas State Bar (in good standing).
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in high-stakes matters.
• Proven track record of winning cases.
• Exceptional brief-writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Experience in technology or AI-related litigation, with knowledge of privacy and free speech regulations.
• Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and enthusiasm for tackling complex legal challenges.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes cases while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior attorneys or legal teams.
