The Sr. Sales Engineer will be a results-driven individual reporting to the VP Sales. As a Sr. Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by effectively presenting and demonstrating our range of professional services to potential clients. You will collaborate closely with our sales, marketing, and service delivery teams to understand client needs, offer tailored solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of our services. This role requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of customer requirements. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. By utilizing your expertise, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of positive customer relationships, while ensuring the smooth operation of our sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our professional services offerings, including consulting, implementation, customization, and support. Demonstrate a solid grasp of relevant technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Solution Presentations: Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored presentations, demonstrations, and workshops that highlight the capabilities and benefits of our professional services. Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with our sales and services delivery teams to design comprehensive and realistic solutions that align with client requirements and project constraints.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare detailed and accurate proposals, including scope of work, project timelines, resource requirements, and cost estimates. Ensure proposals align with the client's goals and budget
  • Metrics and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of interactions, prospecting activities, and sales opportunities in the CRM system. Provide regular updates to the sales and management teams regarding progress, challenges, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Participate in LinkedIn Marketing through the creation of content and sharing of content on a weekly basis.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of sales collateral, presentations, and documentation that equips the sales team with the latest and most relevant information.
  • Understand and document customer needs and requirements.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales leader for further development and closure.
  • Partner with Sales Leader in the closure of opportunities sourced by Sales Engineer.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, partner activities, competitor activities, and market developments to provide insights that inform sales strategies.
  • Participate in conference reach out and attendance, as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Management, Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 5 Years of Professional Work Experience in a selling environment or in Supply Chain Execution.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software - preferably Salesforce.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality and accurate sales collateral and resources using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor solutions to meet client needs.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel to domestic and international client sites as needed.
  • Organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and work in matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality as required.
  • Experience in a Professional Services firm is preferred.
  • Experience in the Supply Chain industry is preferred.
  • Other than travel to a client site, this position is remote with hybrid option for candidates local to the greater Atlanta area.
