We are seeking a talented and motivated Staff Accountant with tax preparation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting clients with their tax compliance needs, preparing accurate financial statements, and providing valuable insights to support their business objectives. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Perform general accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
• Utilize UltraTax software (experience is a plus)

​ Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel
• Experience with UltraTax software is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
